LsL Instruments unveils redesigned Saticoy 24, the first visible product change since Fender's letters
LsL Instruments, the first builder to publicly confirm it had received a Fender cease-and-desist letter, showed a reshaped Saticoy 24 with a smaller, flatter-topped body, a deepened belly contour, a sharper lower horn on the pickguard, narrower and more stooped cutaways, and 24 frets instead of 22. LsL said it had no contact with Fender during development and did not attribute the redesign to legal pressure, but the model is widely read as the first concrete sign of S-style builders reshaping their guitars to move away from the classic Stratocaster silhouette.
